Builder Breakfast- Truss Bracing/Engineering

Wednesday, May 13, 2026 (8:00 AM - 9:00 AM) (MDT)

Description

Improper truss bracing is one of the most common—and costly—mistakes on job sites, often caused by not following design drawings or misusing materials. This session breaks down how truss bracing is meant to function, why it must be installed exactly as specified, and the real-world consequences of getting it wrong—especially on gable end trusses where errors are most frequent. We’ll also address common misconceptions about “overengineering” and provide practical guidance to ensure your builds are safe, compliant, and built to last.
